Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.
The veteran forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the first major trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he earlier was, and would definitely contemplate lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
