AC Shadows Introduces Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Uncovered
According to the official release, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous transformations resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret cult.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre tests and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Material
Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana in addition to numerous objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
